According to Total News, quoted by the Iran Online Chamber, Abolfazl Khaki, the head of the Qom Chamber, said, “development of a road map for the development of non-oil exports by the government will not be possible without giving effect to the opinions of the private sector, and even if it brings superficial results in the short term, it will eventually lead to failure”.
Abolfazl Khaki added in the meeting of the Qom Chamber Board of Directors, “The experience of the 25th National Export Day conference shows that the meetings and conferences held contain unsupported slogans without action and of course meaningful in the country’s economic system, and its repetition will be a waste of resources, time and money.”
He stated, in order to reach and achieve the most important steps in the development of non-oil exports, the government should, like other countries and especially developed countries, rely on the private sector without slogans and with proposals based on the authenticity of the work and mission that is related to the organizations and the private sector, i.e. the Chamber of Commerce should determine practical indicators.
Referring to the obstacles to export development, the head of the Qom Chamber said, the challenges in the field of export are shared by up to 80% of the provinces and have been repeated many times. But the remaining 20 percent are issues that can be different in each province. Specifically, in Qom province, there is a lack of integration in the field of issuing commercial cards between the Security Organization and the Chamber, the system of returning currency from exports in a stately manner, the lack of special transportation systems for vulnerable goods such as fruits and vegetables, and the lack of large-scale companies for the production of agricultural products in terms of responding to large Eurasian markets, one of the problems is in the way of export development.
Referring to the role and performance of economic advisors, a member of the delegation of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce said, the performance of economic advisors of commercial attachés in Iranian embassies, in addition to being very limited and insignificant in terms of quantity, has not been able to meet the needs of businessmen and chambers of commerce in terms of quality, so the development of economic diplomacy, It is possible through capable, creative and efficient human resources, which is only repeated recently in terms of discourse by statesmen; But there is still no objective and practical symbol and it seems that consultation with joint chambers of commerce will be important in this field.
Khaki believes that the economic indicators after Corona are not much different, but the strict system of sanctions puts more pressure on the economy and has left the economy suffocating. It has done more than that, and due to its ability to spread economic rumors and the publication of yellow statistics, its effects will spread in the form of waves, so it is suggested that the government once again benefit from the expertise and advice of its Chamber of Commerce.
