According to Total News, citing the Gasht-o-Gozar News, Saeed Sayadi, CEO of Shahoo Tarabar Pars Company, referring to the currency fluctuations in the last few months and the challenges created in the transportation systems, said, Exchange rate fluctuations are one of the influential factors in export, import and transit of goods. Currency instability causes financial losses to companies, exporters and importers. For example, when transporting a shipment of 6,000 euros during loading, the exchange rate of the euro is 50,000 tomans, so it is equivalent to 300,000 tomans; But when settling the carrier, driver and carrier, with the increase of the conversion rate to 60 thousand tomans, the Rial equivalent becomes 360 million tomans, that is, 60 million losses in one shipment. Currency fluctuations have a heavy financial impact on exporters, importers and drivers; because when entering into a contract, an amount is charged for the transfer of goods, and the party to the transaction is not aware of the fluctuation of currency prices in our country.
Regarding the sustainability of the private sector, he said, the priority of our group and colleagues is the national interest of the country. In this regard, the upcoming program is for domestic and foreign investment and equipping the sea and road fleet. Therefore, we need more support from the government in order to solve the problems and help economic and industrial prosperity.
The member of the working group of truck importing companies of Iran’s International Transport Companies Association continued, in the field of transportation, we need to invest in warehouses, warehouses, ground logistics, specialized fleets, especially refrigerated roads, to export vegetables, fish and shrimp. According to the existing sanctions, in case of success in attracting foreign investment, the influx of capital will create psychological, economic, social security, as well as job creation, for which we need the support of the honorable government.
Referring to the destination countries for shipping cargo by sea and currency challenges with these countries, Sayadi said, the importance of sea transportation in Iran due to the sea imports and exports of our country and its proximity to open waters such as the Persian Gulf, the Oman Sea and Caspian Sea is very large. Despite Iran’s sanctions, most of the world’s countries have trade relations by sea, either directly or in the form of a bl switch (exchange of bills of lading). Unfortunately, currency transfer is one of our other challenges in this field. To solve this problem, companies have chosen the clearing method. In spite of the existing challenges and problems, the transportation companies are still working strongly for the benefit of Iran.
He went on to state other issues regarding exports and added, the next issue is the non-provision of facilities for old companies with high records. For example, when loading goods from a third country, it is declared to the customs based on the packing and inscription declared by the cargo owner. In case of a discrepancy of even 5% of the weight of the packing and invoice, despite the fact that the transit company is not informed as the issuer of documents, which is unaware of the inside of the loading and sealing area, a heavy fine will be imposed for the smuggling of goods and a ban on the company’s activities. The government should think of a plan for the old companies and know that this did not happen on purpose, or the issue of putting drugs in the export cargo, in Turkey, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan and Russia, the truck is in trouble. To solve this inspection problem, X-ray before the customs seal is one of the most important measures we need.
The CEO of Shahoo Tarabar Pars Company stated that in the working group of the importers and tugboats of Note 3, we have dealt with the most basic problems of this field, and said, with the efforts of the members of the association, good efforts have been made. The government should come to the conclusion that the private sector has an efficient role to promote and solve existing challenges and problems and believe this sector. For example, when choosing the Minister of Roads, approving a circular related to this area and other matters, the activists of the transportation field should be invited and their expert opinions should be used, because we specialize in international transportation, shipping, transit, export and import.
Sayadi said that one of the main causes of trucks being stored in the customs is the wear and tear of the road fleet and said, “The issue of renewing the road transport fleet is one of the main needs and priorities in the field of public transportation, especially the wear and tear of the road fleet.” In addition to increasing the number of road accidents, trucks also contribute to the growth of atmospheric pollutants. Last year, based on the fleet renewal law and the ruling of the Administrative Court of Justice, license plates were placed on cars without scrapping; but unfortunately it was not done by competent organizations. Currently, 5,800 trucks have been stopped and additional costs such as storage, property ownership, etc. are assigned to it.
He continued, in addition to capital sedimentation (the cost of capital sedimentation for each stored car is about 90,000 euros), the depreciation of the car, the unemployment of many drivers and the lack of income to support their lives, etc. are the consequences of this incident. Using the new fleet, it is possible to export 50,000 dollars worth of used diesel from used trucks every year. In addition to Rial savings, road safety, environmental protection, etc. are among the positive results of this application.
In the end, the CEO of Shahoo Tarabar Pars Company noted, as a person who has been working in the field of transportation, export and import for several years, I request the government to support them in addition to believing in the private sector, look at the private transport sector from a patriotic point of view and think about facilitating the work. As you know, we are facing many challenges and problems. I hope that with the support of the government, related departments and respected colleagues, we can be successful in this field.
