According to Total News, Afshin Bahrami, Secretary of the Smart Transportation and Logistics Working Group of the Vice President of Science and Technology said, one of the main concerns of the transportation sector is the lack of financing from banks. This challenge has caused the important issue of the transportation fleet to be inefficient.
Pointing to the necessity of paying serious attention to this sector as a prerequisite for development and earning foreign exchange earnings, he pointed out, if more attention is paid to the private sector, the possibility of persuading capital owners will increase and the work of this vital area of the macroeconomic sector will be untied.
Bahrami considered entrusting the investment and management of the economy to the people as the least risky action of the government and added, strengthening insurances, supporting investors and paying attention to those interested in participating in the macro economy can lead to economic growth and balanced development.
He said, trusting experts and innovative young people in the field of production and export can shorten the hands of brokers and middlemen and lead to facilitation in important job-creating and income-generating tasks.
The inspector of the transport trade association said, in the conditions of sanctions, the lack of definition of a common currency and the difficulties of exchanges with foreign parties have caused serious losses to the international transport fleet, which requires the government’s serious attention to the activists of this sector.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jam Rah Company mentioned the existence of several decision-making centers in the transit and clearance sector among other problems of this sector, and he considered streamlining the functioning of customs and revising the strict regulations as a decisive step in improving the export of goods.
Bahrami considered the customs barriers, sanctions, non-cooperation of some neighbors and the lack of necessary will in the ministry of security as an obstacle to accelerating the performance of Iran’s international transport and making more use of Iran’s corridor for road transport.
In the end, he asked the government to make effective decisions and prioritize transportation as an important economic infrastructure and hardware.
