In an interview with Total News about the 4th Conference on Iran’s Sea-Oriented Economy, the North-South Corridor, Anoush Roham said, government officials are very effective in streamlining logistics and corridors, but it was necessary that representatives of all sectors, including the main beneficiaries of the corridors, who are merchants, also attend this conference to raise their problems.
The Assistant and Advisor to the Head of the Development and Trade Organization added, “Unfortunately, the transportation of the Caspian Sea is very expensive, and this high cost has caused many advantages for investment.”
Pointing out that the Russians are not cooperating in the discussion of the fleet’s entry into the Caspian Sea, he said, a large part of the estimates of the effective load capacity in the North-South corridor, especially the Astara-Rasht-Qazvin section, is not an accurate statistic and is much less than that.
Roham added, these statistics need expert panels to reach a tangible output and government officials to face real statistics and components in this field to make decisions based on real statistics.
The Senior Analyst of Logistics and Foreign Trade recalled, when the knowledge of logistics is implemented correctly and fluid logistics is created, intelligence will occur in the entry and exit points in the field of transit and transportation, and this will reduce costs and time.
He stated that according to articles 11 to 16 of the anti-smuggling law, making transportation intelligent is one of the tasks of the Ports and Maritime Organization, and added, this law obliges the Ports Organization to set up comprehensive systems.
Roham reminded, there is still no system as a comprehensive system and the systems generally operate in an isolated manner.
The Assistant and Advisor to the Head of the Development and Trade Organization noted, the first step in the logistics department is to inform the investors of the existing data, because in this department, information is lost and the exact data and capacities are not known, therefore, the first step is to create a reliable vision.
