According to Total News, quoting from the public relations of the Trade Union of International Transport Companies of Iran, from the beginning of November of this year, some transport companies suddenly encountered numbers and figures in the file of their tax system. The figures are mainly derived from the fuel difference of the non-Iranian fleet, which the drivers paid, but the Road and Road Transport Organization registered them in the name of the companies in the system.
The main purpose of the system that the tax organization claimed is to establish tax justice, but in practice, like other systems formed in recent years, its problems have plagued the private sector now.
According to this report, after the reflection of this problem by the members of the trade association of international transport companies of Iran, the executive directors of the country’s highway and road transport organization along with the representative of the trusted company of the tax affairs organization based in the organization attended the Iran association answered the questions and doubts of some managers of member companies.
In this meeting, which lasted for more than two hours, Javad Samsariler, Masoud Atari, Mahmoud Rostam Afshar as veterans of this industry, heads of the forwarding, tax and road commissions, some of the members of the board of directors along with the CEOs of some members companies were present and expressed their opinions.
Hamid Mohammadi Faz, Vice President of Operations and Transit of the Road and Road Transport Organization, while praising the Iranian Association for reflecting these problems, said, this issue has been followed up and determined in different parts of the organization, and from now on, crimes caused by the fuel difference should not be recorded in the system in the name of the companies, and the trusted company has been asked to remove the amounts registered in the system from the companies’ portfolios.
He also expressed hope that regarding other problems raised by the participants in this meeting, such as domestic bills of lading issued in transit cargoes and ton kilometers taken from non-Iranian drivers, necessary measures will be taken to prevent the violation of companies’ rights.
The representative of the trusted company of the Tax Affairs Organization based in the Road Organization also asked the companies to refer to their folders in the system and rejected the invoices issued between October and the first decade of November, the description of which is related to the fuel difference, so as not to threaten them with problems in the future.
Evaluating these meetings positively, Mohammadi Faz said, the continuation of such meetings will make the companies face fewer problems by receiving correct information from the managers of the transport companies and refining them in the road organization in the process of the evolution of the tax system.
At the end of this meeting, it was decided that a working group consisting of the heads of the road, forwarding and tax departments and several veterans, after identifying the other problems of the companies, will reflect them to the road organization in the next meeting, so that these problems in the system can be minimized through cooperation.
I have to say; the Road and Road Transport Organization of the country in cooperation with the Ministry of Oil and Customs of Iran, based on the single article of the Law on Traffic Regulations of foreign vehicles approved in 1994, this organization collects the fuel difference from all foreign road vehicles, both passenger and cargo, in the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
