According to Total News, Jafar Shahamat considered the restoration and renovation of the asphalt roads leading to the holy Mashhad in order to provide more services to the pilgrims of Imam Reza (a.s.) as one of the most important executive measures and said, in the axes leading to Mashhad from last year until now, more than 290 km of asphalt has been implemented at the entrances of Mashhad city and the area of the mentioned city. This amount of asphalt is equal to 170 thousand tons of asphalt with a Rial value of 350 billion Tomans. Also, for the expansion of Mashhad’s entrance from Golbahar by 10 kilometers with a contract worth 120 billion Tomans, it is being implemented, which has more than 30% physical progress so far. For the entrance of Mashhad from Sarakhs side, 10 km is currently under construction and a 5 km section is also being tendered.
Referring to the use of smart transportation equipment on the roads leading to Razavi Khorasan, he said, smart transportation equipment in the protection area of Razavi Khorasan province (on the axis of Qaen-Gonabad-Torbat Heydarieh-Mashhad-Chenaran-Qochan-Farouj) contains; 45 traffic violation registration systems will be installed, 25 video surveillance cameras, 2 moving weighing systems, 4 variable message boards and 19 inductive traffic counters will be installed too. Based on this, in the aforementioned axis of traffic registration, instantaneous speed violations, average speed violations, overload violations for passing vehicles are recorded intelligently. Also, using video surveillance cameras, traffic and atmospheric conditions are monitored 24 hours a day with the possibility of displaying images to the public in the 141 system.
