The Head of the Civil Aviation Organization, among the journalists present at the press conference of the 6th Exhibition of Transport, Logistics and Related Industries, mentioned the improvement of the status of the Civil Aviation Organization with ICAO and noted, we need 550 planes.
According to Total News, quoting from the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development news site, Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh, Deputy Minister and Head of the Civil Aviation Organization, among the journalists present at the press conference of aviation industry managers on the sidelines of the 6th Transport, Logistics and Related Industries Exhibition, referring to the increasing demand of Passengers during Nowruz announced the statistics of 2 million passengers during Nowruz last year.
Reminding other flights on special days such as Arbaeen summer holidays and the World Cup, Mohammadi Bakhsh pointed to the preparation of a special strategic plan for the return of the fleet and planes to the cycle.
He added that the number of cargo planes increased to 11 in order to increase the share of transit and cargo transportation.
The head of the Civil Aviation Organization said, last year, the status of the Civil Aviation Organization with ICAO has improved, and due to the difficult conditions of the sanctions and the economic discussion of managing the aviation industry, we must achieve self-sufficiency in construction, which can be achieved by using knowledge-based companies and startups and the accelerators that play a role in the field of aviation is realized.
He pointed out, the acceptance of the level of capability, specialized knowledge and compliance with international flight standards has been presented to us by ICAO.
Mohammadi Bakhsh announced that achievements such as the opening of Imam Ali Airport, the granting of international certificates, and the creation of workshops for the development of infrastructure have been achieved. Also, the issue of Arbaeen, which last year had 40,000 to 45,000 passengers, has reached 280,000 passengers this year. The result is people’s satisfaction.
The Head of the Civil Aviation Organization considered it necessary to purchase planes intelligently and to target this issue and to prevent the application of taste according to the needs of the country and added, we currently need 550 planes and if this number is not provided, the supply and demand will not be coordinated.
He stated, One of the important issues of Sarriz Aircraft Factory is the overflow of specialized knowledge, the production of infrastructure parts and synergy in the airport field.

In response to a journalist’s question about plane prices, the head of the Civil Aviation Organization said, according to the fifth law of development, price floating is applicable, but due to the spread of Corona, this was stopped, so in January of last year, we had a 15% price reduction, which according to requests that we have received from airlines due to currency fluctuations, changes and price increases are on the order which will be notified as soon as they are finalized.
Mohammadi Bakhsh, in response to a reporter’s question regarding the production of indigenous aircraft, stated, “work is being done with the Ministry of Defense on this issue, which will be announced soon.”
In response to a question about why there are more seats than the available space inside the plane, he said, the construction of planes is designed based on the distance traveled and the type of travel, so the arrangement of the seats is not our duty.
