According to Total News, quoted by the Iran Online Chamber, Shahram Khasipour at the Joint Business Meeting between Iran, Ghana, Cameroon, Burkina Faso and Mauritania, emphasized that the development of trade relations with African countries is the priority of the Iran Chamber and continued, the volume of Iran’s exchanges with African countries are not compatible with good political relations with these countries and the trade capacities of both sides.
He said, some problems in the field of banking and transportation have hindered the development of relations between Iran and Africa. The development of air and sea transportation and solving financial transfer problems will lead to the development of these relations.
In this meeting, Masoud Barheman, the Head of the joint chamber of Iran and East Africa, also emphasized the need to remove the obstacles to the commercial development of Iran and Africa and said, in the economic stagnation that we are in, we must develop exports more than before so that production does not stop and the wheel Let the economy continue to live.
Pointing out that Iran trades with 39 countries on the African continent, he added, according to published statistics, the largest volume of Iran’s trade was with Ghana in 2021.
He emphasized, the problem of transportation between Iran and Africa, both by air and sea, as well as the problem of financial transfers, are the two main problems of our trade with the African continent.
Referring to the efforts to solve financial exchange problems between Iran and Ghana, Hedayat Nejad added, we are planning to establish a joint financial fund between Iran and Ghana, which, if implemented, will have a great effect on promoting business cooperation.
