According to Total News, citing the Iran Online Chamber, due to the existence of many problems in Mazandaran in the transportation of goods for export, the Secretariat of the Dialogue Council of the Government and the Private Sector of Mazandaran, referring to the letter of the year 2019 of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development, which allowed this license to be held without an examination process due to the capacities of Mazandaran, has suggested that this order be implemented in the Iran Chamber and can be extended to other economic actors in the country as well.
Hassan Jahanian, Director General of Mazandaran Highways and Road Transport, referring to the exam that is held nationwide, said, “Currently, 5 international transport companies are registered in the province.” Also, according to the regulations, the exam is held nationwide and has nothing to do with the province.
Ali Taqipour, Head of the Sari Chamber, stated that since 2006, we have objected to the process of establishing an international transport company through an examination, added, it is the right of economic activists to prioritize the establishment of a company if they have the means, and the restriction of the examination is removed from them.
He continued: Out of the 5 international transport companies that are said to exist in Mazandaran, they apparently do not have a single car and are forwarders.
The Head of the Sari Chamber stated, “Last year, we had 3,000 export shipments, but these companies that were mentioned do not even have cabotage at our customs.”
Seyed Mahmoud Hosseinipour, the governor of Mazandaran, also said in this context, If there are 5 international transport companies in the province, why don’t the exporters see the results. It turns out that they are facing problems or they only used Mazandaran’s quota.
He clarified, there is a weakness in the management of these companies and the conditions for their activity should be provided because they may have a scientific foundation and no financial foundation. While right now we have ready investors who can start companies.
Hosseinipour asked the General Director of Roads of the province to announce the exact details of these companies to the governorate so that they can communicate with the economic activists, and in this context, he asked for a meeting between the economic activists, investors, managers of international transport companies and the economic deputy of the governorate.
He clarified, If these people are not from Mazandarani, their license should be canceled or if they obey the decisions of the province, now we have problems in transportation for export, and with proper management of facilities, we can change this process for the benefit of the province.
The Governor of Mazandaran also announced that the letter of the then Minister of Roads and Urban Development regarding “issuing establishment permits to qualified economic operators in Mazandaran without an examination process” should also be followed up at the national level.
