According to Total News, Reza Mirhadi considered the support of the government to the private sector as the reason for the success of the transport companies and added, the transport and logistics industry is indebted to the efforts of the active private sector in this field. If the relevant organizations support and make fundamental changes in tax, insurance and customs regulations, the progress of this industry will be accelerated.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Partnik International Transportation Company emphasized the role of the transportation sector in increasing the income in the country and added, transportation can be a source of income and increase the level of the country’s gross production by using Iran’s geographical facilities. In this regard, operational plans have been presented to the government and relevant organizations by the experts and practitioners of this industry, but unfortunately, due to the lack of importance to the private sector in this field, no progress has been made and many opportunities have been taken away from this industry.
He considered currency fluctuations to be an obstacle to the growth of transportation and logistics and said, stability in the cost of sea, road, air and rail transportation will cause stability in other economic activities such as production, import, export and transit of goods through Iran. Unfortunately, currency instability causes lack of growth and even stagnation in the above activities and the transportation and logistics industry.
Mirhadi found interactions with different countries difficult due to the existing sanctions and said, due to the sanctions, it is not possible to pay and receive currency through the banking system. Therefore, the need to use intermediaries such as brokers, middlemen and money changers has made this industry uneconomic and its effects are transferred to other economic and commercial activities in Iran.
He considered redundant administrative procedures as one of the reasons for the durability of goods in ports and added, among the reasons for the durability of goods in Iranian ports and bases are the various and sometimes contradictory regulations and instructions by the various organizations involved, especially the country’s customs, the currency transfer system for import and export due to the impossibility of using banking systems and the uniform regulations of letters of credit and the lack of timely clearance of consignments in Iranian ports by foreign senders to foreign receivers and vice versa.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Partnik International Transport Company, referring to the need to integrate the transport and logistics industry, said, the necessity to have a single ministry for the transport industry is felt more than ever to take the decisions, regulations and approvals of the unit in this field. In this way, we can witness the integration of software and hardware in this area.
