According to Total News, quoted by public relations of the Road Transport Organization, Reza Akbari added, this project includes a large bridge span of 32 meters and 1,400 meters of highway construction.
Stating that this project, along with the new border terminal, will be effective in reducing the traffic load of trucks, the Deputy Director of Highways and Road Transport Organization added, “definitely, the cooperation of aligned agencies will help to advance this project.”
He also said, considering the average daily traffic of 300 trucks abroad through the border of Astara, the development of international transportation infrastructure in this city is necessary. Astara-Ardabil is a non-level roundabout that can be completed by the end of September this year if the necessary credit is secured and there are no problems with opponents.
The Deputy Director of Highways and Road Transport Organization while visiting the newly built Sibley Bridge in Astara region said, this bridge was destroyed in last year’s flood and river overflow, which is currently being built by the Highways and Road Transport Organization.
On the sidelines of the opening ceremony of this bridge, in the presence of provincial and city officials and residents of Nokhale Soumesara village, the deputy director of highways said, with the implementation of the asphalt movement plan in the past year, 20,000 kilometers of the country’s roads have been paved and 3,000 kilometers of rural roads have been built.
Akbari also stated in the meeting of the Road Safety Commission of Gilan Province, which was held under the chairmanship of Asadullah Abbasi, Governor and Chairman of the Executive Commission of Road Safety of Gilan Province, that the best way to reduce accidents is to take actions resulting from the analysis of traffic accidents, so that in this way, healing prescriptions and new and up-to-date plans can be obtained.
