The Director of West Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Affairs, referring to the 40% increase in unloading and loading operations of petroleum and non-petroleum goods during this period, said, out of the total petroleum and non-petroleum exports, which included fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, minerals and construction materials 150 thousand 389 tons are related to non-oil exports and 303 thousand 51 tons are assigned to oil exports.
He added, 367 thousand 551 tons of petroleum and non-petroleum products were moved by cabotage procedure (coastal transportation) in western ports of Hormozgan province with a 43% increase.
Salari stated, out of this amount, 140 thousand 888 tons were related to the cabotage of non-oil products and 226 thousand 663 tons were the cabotage of oil.
The Director of West Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Affairs said, with the efforts of West Ports and Maritime Group in order to create a safe and economic platform for manufacturers and exporters in one month this year, 9,988 TEU of refrigerated containers with a tonnage of 101 thousand 944 tons were unloaded and loaded and nearly 4 thousand 994 TEU of refrigerated containers with a tonnage of 50 thousand 972 tons were also exported.
Referring to the movement of 15,832 transit vehicles with a 14% increase compared to the same period last year, he said, the unloading of this number of transit vehicles was carried out by 210 metal floats, which were loaded to the destinations of Iraq, Afghanistan and Central Asia after unloading and completing customs formalities.
Traffic of more than 2,000 ships in western ports
Pointing to the safe transportation of 175 thousand 348 sea passengers, domestic and international tourists, Salari said, of these, 173 thousand 564 people traveled on domestic sea routes from the ports of Lange, Aftab and Charak to Kish, Abu Musi and other Persian Gulf islands and one thousand and 784 passengers traveled to the ports of the United Arab Emirates.
The Director of Ports and Maritime Affairs of West Hormozgan announced the number of vessels traffic in the ports of Hormozgan province in this period as 2 thousand 964 vessels, of which 1 thousand 404 vessels were above 1000 tons and 84 vessels were below 1000 tons.
