Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ilam said, until now, an Ilami craftsman who has an active workshop in the fields of relief rugs and plain rugs of the province, fortunately, was able to participate in the handicrafts exhibition held in Iraq by communicating with the businessmen of Iraq, France, Venezuela and Pakistan. By registering the order of these merchants, export their products including embossed rugs and simple rugs to these countries and generate income of 6 billion and 400 million Rials.
He added, considering that Ilam has been accepted as a prominent national carpet city, extensive activities have been carried out in the direction of production, distribution, completion of the production chain, and also more introduction of this native industry of the province.
Sharifi stated that the export of products provides the basis for increasing the production of artists and entrepreneurship for the youth, and stated that the presence of artists in such exhibitions provides the basis for the export and sale of products produced by these artists, which has an effect on the introduction of products for sale and creates more trust and security for the buyer and seller.
