In an interview with Total News, Morteza Kamali said about the activity of Hedayat Keshti Service Company, this company guides all vessels of the Ports and Maritime Organization in all ports of Iran, 23 vessels in Iran belong to this organization and we guide them.
The Technical Director of the Hedayat Keshti Service Company in Bushehr added, our company provides services to the ships that enter the Iranian waters, in such a way that our guides deliver the bills of lading before the vessels enter the channel and attach the ship to the berth is then the responsibility of that ship with the ship management company.
Stating that this company provides support services to foreign vessels, he reminded, during departure, the guide of the company separates the vessel from the dock and hands it over to the main captain in open waters.
Stating that the technical responsibility of all the vessels in the ports of Bushehr province is with me in terms of mechanical, electronic and other technical matters, Kamali said, Our personnel are ready to provide services to the vessels with a 15-day shift and 24 hours a day.
In response to a question regarding the biggest challenge in this area, the technical manager of Hedayat Keshti Company in Bushehr noted, in terms of the duties that I am responsible for, our biggest challenge is the issue of sanctions regarding the supply of electronic parts and their repairs, buying parts from abroad is time-consuming, and every hour we cannot provide services to vessels in this field is a loss for us.
He said, over the past year, we have had several meetings with domestic component makers at the Science and Technology Center and the Persian Gulf University, and we were able to get to know the potential of the country to some extent. In these meetings, we expressed our demands, and we will see those manufacturers who had a product to present at the Bushehr marine exhibition.
Kamali reminded, the Hedayat Keshti company has two other duties besides providing services, one of them is waterway safety, in the sense that waterway safety equipment such as lighthouses and channels must be up-to-date in order to avoid any problems with the incoming vessel.
The technical director of the this company in Bushehr added, we should place special international signs in the places where it is needed throughout the province so that any vessel that enters the shore of Bushehr does not have an accident and this issue is very important and sensitive.
He continued, the second issue is the up-to-dateness of the waterways, there is loose sand at the bottom of the Bushehr canal, the accumulation of which causes the canal to become shallow and ships unable to pass. One of our other responsibilities is channel dredging, for which we do hydrography to know the dredging time.
Kamali stated, the distance from the wharf to the exit of the Bushehr canal is 10 miles, and this part must be more than 11 meters deep so that the ships can move there, especially for foreign vessels that enter the canal, this dredging must be done in order to avoid an accident.
He said, the dredging of channels in the ports of the Persian Gulf, the Oman Sea, and the Caspian Sea is done by the Hedayat Keshti company, and the technical director of each province is also based in the same province.
In response to the question of whether there has been an incident so far, he said, Since I have been in charge since 2005, there has been no incident in this regard.
Stating that half of the goods entering Bushehr port are imports from neighboring countries, followed by imports from China, Kamali said, foreign ports may be ahead of us in terms of supplying technical parts because they are not sanctioned. But in terms of service, all the ports in the world provide the same quality services that we provide.
He pointed out that when a vessel is technically out of service for one hour, we lose one billion tomans, and stated, there are some special devices in the technical field that have not yet been made in Iran and, we import these items through the intermediaries we have in Dubai and Oman, but this work takes time.
